Candidates are tested in listening, reading, writing and speaking. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking modules. There is a choice between Academic and General Training in the Reading and Writing modules.
The tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from non-user to expert user.
The first three modules (Listening, Reading and Writing) are completed in the morning, with the Speaking module completed during the afternoon of the test day. Speaking times are randomly assigned and cannot be changed. The interview time will be provided in the morning during the registration time. There is no break between the morning modules.
NOTE: Speaking interviews are usually scheduled on the afternoon of the test day; however, the interview can be scheduled during the seven days prior to or seven days following the test day. If your interview is not on the test day, you will be contacted (via e-mail or phone) to inform you of the date and location of your speaking test.
